Kate Capshaw

Saks Fifth Avenue's Unforgettable EveningSOURCE

Capshaw is the long-time wife of movie director extraordinaire Steven Spielberg. The couple met in 1984 when Capshaw starred for her future husband in the second installment of the Indiana Jones trilogy, “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.” The couple married in 1991 and have five children. Capshaw also has a daughter Jessica Capshaw, from her first marriage. Although Capshaw appeared in several high profile films after her marriage, her career slowed down as she began to focus more on raising the couple’s children and chairing their many philanthropic organizations.

For a brief moment in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Capshaw was pegged as the next big thing in movies, appearing in “Power,” “Black Rain,” “Just Cause” and “How To Make An American Quilt.”
