You recognize my touch, the look in my eyes. You know everything’s that’s unique about me. I need you and you need me. We face the world together. With you I can do anything. I would spend all day with you if I could. People are always trying to get between us but that will never happen. I love you Smartphone………

We are obsessed with our devices. We’ve made them our mediators between the world and ourselves. We delegate responsibilities to computers that were once done by other humans. Our devices, whether it’s our phones, laptops, tablets, phablets or desktops have become or unofficial facilitators and liaisons. They allow us to keep tabs on what our loved ones are doing through constant status updates on our social networking and photo sharing sites. We no longer have to call and let our friends know that our baby took it’s first steps. We simply post the video for the world to see and for our loved ones to post comments. No one has to inconvenience themselves by getting in cars and traveling to your house and wait for the baby to do it again. We can wait from the comfort of our homes to watch you post the next video and the next, till we get sick of your kid’s cuteness. Can a video really replace the feeling of actually being there? Can a simple posted comment convey the same type of energy, sincerity and emotion as if I was standing in the room with you?
